The short version: we don't collect personal data. Your birth date stays on your phone.

Slipmatic is made by WiseSpark Studio. This policy explains what the app does with information about you.

Your birth date

If you give Slipmatic your birth date, it is stored only on your device. The app works out your Western sign, your day of birth and your Chinese zodiac year on the device. To fetch a personal reading, it sends only one of those (for example "leo", "thursday" or "horse") and the date of the reading. It never sends your birth date, your name or anything that identifies you. You can change or remove your birth date at any time from the hall.

Readings

Readings come from our reading service, which runs on Cloudflare and asks AstroM8 for the day's text. The service sees the sign, birth day or animal, the date and, for Slipmatic Plus, Apple's signed proof of your subscription. That proof is used to check the subscription is active and is not stored. Readings are cached by sign and day, not by person. Like any web request, the connection carries your device's IP address to Cloudflare; the reading service doesn't log it.

Purchases

Slipmatic Plus is sold by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple shares only the signed subscription information that the app uses to unlock Plus.

What stays on your device

Your kept slips, medals, birth date, settings, letters to Santa and New Year promises are stored on your device only. Deleting the app deletes them. Pictures you share are made on your device and go only where you send them.

Notifications

If you turn them on, the morning reminder, promise check-ins and Christmas-morning note are scheduled on your device. No server sends them, and no device token leaves your phone.

Letters from the printer (email)

The app never asks for your email. If you sign up for our monthly letter on slipmatic.app, your email address and language go to Sequenzy, the service that sends it. You'll get one email to confirm first, every letter has an unsubscribe link, and we use the address only for these letters. To be removed completely, write to hello@slipmatic.app.

What we don't do

No accounts, no advertising, no tracking, no analytics SDKs, and no selling or sharing of data. The newsletter above is the only thing we keep about you, and only if you sign up for it.

Children

The app collects no personal data from anyone, including children. The newsletter is for adults who choose to sign up on the website.
